Introduction to Agriculture
Buckle up for a crash course in agriculture with Inside Education! This high-energy, interactive presentation will give you all the dirt on agriculture in Alberta and demonstrate the connections we have to food, farming and everything in between.
Discover Agriculture Scavenger Hunt
Use your agriculture knowledge and creativity in this interactive scavenger hunt! Work together as a class doing research, taking photos and videos, creating songs and poems and watching the following videos. This session will give you the chance to discover the people, places and perspectives that shape our agricultural landscape, and help you make personal connections to food and agriculture.
Innovations and Technology in Agriculture
Land, Water, Stewardship and Education
You have 45 minutes to complete all 35 tasks as a team! Work together in the shared Google Slides your teacher has access to. Completed Slides documents must be in the shared folder, or sent to [email protected] by 10:35 am to be considered for the prize!
The team with the most tasks completed will be awarded a customized classroom grow kit valued at $100 to make your agriculture education dreams come true! If you want to join along as an individual, make a copy of the following file and submit it to [email protected] by the deadline.

After you’ve explored ‘Discover Agriculture’ we will come back together to meet with experts who will share insights into agriculture and our role as stewards of the land. This dynamic conversation will focus on how climate change is changing how we produce food and other agricultural products. Be sure to submit your questions in mentimeter!
