Student Learning and Experience

This section is all about your students. We are looking for projects that engage and involve students in learning about ENERGY! Focus on the student experience and learning activities for your project. Please describe curriculum goals in the context of energy.

This section will be scored out of 12 points and is worth 45% of your application. Don’t forget to reference the rubric which is available to download on the A+ for Energy webpage!

Creativity

It’s time to make your application stand out, tell us why your project is special and showcase how you are going above and beyond with respect to energy & climate education.

This section will be scored out of 6 points and is worth 20% of your application. Don’t forget to reference the rubric which is available to download on the A+ for Energy webpage!

Project Planning & Impacts

This section highlights your plan and shows the judges that you’ve thought things through. Don’t forget to mention how your budget and project activities support the lasting impact of your project.

This section and the ’Partnerships & Sustainability’ section below will be scored out of 10 points and are worth 35% of your application

Describe how your project will connect with the school and broader community as well as opportunities for sustainability and longevity.

The A+ for Energy Grant Year is for the upcoming school year.

Grant recipients are required to submit an online midpoint project check-in by January 2025. This will include submitting budget information and receipts. 

A final video report is due June 2025.
