Experiential, Immersive, and Fun!
Our off-site tours will be a chance for students to get their boots dirty and see farming up close! In addition, we are very excited to bring students to AGTECH and Innovation Alley, part of FarmFair International, to get a guided tour of the exhibits. Teams will get the VIP treatment to visit and learn from some of the other components of FarmFair, and to rub shoulders with some of the heavyweights of the farming and ranching world (including some livestock!).
Speakers will be from a variety of research academics, government representatives, industry representatives, and nonprofit sectors. We do our best to hear multiple perspectives in the hopes students and teachers leave with a more comprehensive understanding of trends, innovations, and the future of sustainable agriculture in Alberta.
Our social evenings will feature a relaxed mixer on Thursday night, a movie night on Friday, and and a DJ’d dance on Saturday, all chances for students to mingle and have fun together!
Through it all, students will have access to a low-sensory room for prayer or quiet time. During free time, there will be an unsupervised homework room available for students.
