Dip your toes into experiential learning at the wetland with Inside Education this spring!

We understand that taking your class to the wetland can be a daunting idea, so during this half-day PD program, we will give you the tools to succeed no matter what grade you teach!

April 18, 2024 - Hermitage Park - Edmonton, AB
April 23, 2024 - Pearce Estate Park - Calgary, AB

Join us to explore the fascinating world of aquatic invertebrates and how to make the equipment to find them, and learn our other favourite ways to evaluate wetland health. We’ll also bring in experts to build your wetland knowledge and show you some of our favourite games and activities to engage students in wetland animal and plant characteristics, invasive species, and more.

Teachers who applied for our wetland programs and were put on the waitlist in Edmonton and Calgary will be given priority for this program, but other K-12 teachers and B. Ed students are welcome to apply for remaining spots! The program is no-cost to attend.

Inside Education’s work brings us to all corners of the province, as such, we acknowledge the Indigenous Peoples in the area currently known as Alberta. The relationship the Peoples of Treaty 6, Treaty 7, and Treaty 8 and Alberta’s Métis Peoples have with the land is founded on a deep respect for the environment. This connection forms the foundation of our personal responsibility for stewardship of the environment, a connection Inside Education strives to foster among students and teachers through our diverse programming.
